What a crazy week this has been! Between my four part-time jobs, my insanely huge family, and my slow recovery from the hectic, busy holiday known as Christmas, I am wiped. Still, there has been a few good points…but enough about me.
Well, first of all, the Olequa Senior Center is about to host their monthly BIG, BIG Breakfast this Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. You can make it a breakfast date and bring your friends to enjoy piping hot pancakes. If you’re not interested in pancakes, then biscuits and gravy, hash browns, eggs, and sausages will also be available. There is a choice of orange juice and coffee. You won’t leave hungry, and you get it all for $5. For more information on this or future events, please contact the senior center at (360) 785-4325.
The Winlock Timberland Library will be presenting Family Story Time on Friday 10:30 a.m. Children age 6 and younger are invited to join in a program of stories, rhymes, songs, and movement games.
Later that same day, at 3:30 p.m. the library has scheduled their monthly Teen Book Club. Local teenagers are welcome to read and discuss a new book every time—this month’s title is "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare, which has been developed into an upcoming major motion picture! Refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Winlock Timberland Library.
The library will also be closed Monday in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Libraries will resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, Jan. 22. For more information, please contact the library at (360) 785-3461.
Have a great week, guys. And bundle up well. There’s a reason this is known as the cold and flu season.
