For all you crafters, don’t forget about the beginner’s quilting class. They meet every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church’s Fellowship Hall (although the group itself is non-denominational). This class has been going on for quite some time, and they’ve reported a lot of success. It’s free to participate, and you can even get free materials for your quilt, as long as you call Ruth at (360) 785-3917 to make an appointment to pick it up. Don’t miss out on this one!
Congratulations are in order for the Evaline Elementary. Their Dessert Auction less than two weeks ago has been declared a complete success! That one event raised over $3000, between all the desserts, the gift baskets, and other donations. The school particularly wishes to thank Paula Stewart for organizing the drive to get so many gift certificates and donations from local businesses. Good job, guys!
Memorial Day is coming up, everyone, and I hope you enjoy the long weekend. I myself plan to chill out and perhaps even have a barbecue. Maybe I’ll read a book. Obviously, I live life to the fullest. Have a great week!
