Congratulations are in order for Winlock High School and Winlock Middle School. They are the proud recipients of the 2014 Washington Achievement Award. Congratulations to Superintendent Shannon Criss and the staff at both schools, job well done!!! Another reason I am proud to be from Winlock!!

April 28 - HS Boys Soccer JV 5 p.m., Varsity 7 p.m. @ Winlock

Bingo is happening again at the Winlock Community Building on April 25 @ 6:30 p.m. It is the last Saturday of every month. Proceeds go to improve the building, enjoy some time meeting new faces in Winlock.

Winlock Egg Day Planning Committee is meeting on April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Winlock Community Building. If you haven't had the chance to sign up, they are in need of assistance...Help make Egg Day a memorable time for everyone!

April 24 The Olequa (Winlock) Senior Center will be having their monthly birthday lunch, if it is your birthday in April, please stop by and enjoy some great conversations.

April 25 at 8 a.m. - Join the volunteers at the Olequa (Winlock) Senior Center for their Open House. They will be serving a Pancake Breakfast. This is open to the public; you do not need to be a senior to participate in most of the activities at the center.

April 23 - Cook to order tacos

April 24 - Fish & Chips, coleslaw, jello with fruit and corn bread

April 27 - Soup, Sandwich or Salad

April 28 - Ham and scalloped potatoes

Many of you might have been wondering why the menu and high school activities were a week ahead. I have had several requests from readers that I give them a little bit more notice on these activities so they can plan their schedules. Therefore, I have changed so the information is published earlier than before.
