Willapa Valley defeated Adna in boys golf 189 to 207, but lost to Wahkiakum's round of 177 lasts Thursday in a three-team match at Skyline Golf Course in Cathlamet. Zach Calvert of Wahkiakum shot an excellent round of 38 to finish first and teammate Austin Good was second with a round of 41. Valley's Nicholas Betrozoff was third at 44 and Adna's Nolan Wagner and Valley's Cameron McAllister tied for fourth at 45.
Willapa Valley (189): Nicholas Betrozoff (44), Cameron McAllister ( 45), Kyler Oblad (49), Stephen Camenzind (51), Lucky Wood (55), Damian Redding ( 59).
Raymond: Jace Duckworth (53), Tysen Stephens (59).
South Bend: Zane Johnson (50), Matthew Lewis (64).
Emma Lorton was the only girl to compete and she shot a round of 50, while playing in a group with the coaches.
Vikings Win at Home
Willapa Valley defeated Wakiakum and North Beach in a home match at Willapa harbor Golf Course on April 21. The Vikings carded a round of 182 to outshoot the Mules' output of 210. The Hyaks were a distant third at 251. Betrozoff took medalist honors with a round of 41 to defeat McAllister and Wahkiakum's Elliot Haney's rounds of 45. Calvert was fourth at 48.
“Nicholas Betrozoff and Cameron McAllister shot excellent rounds for these weather conditions, slightly breezy and showers during the round,” Willapa Harbor Tri-District Head Golf Coach Dave Lund told the Herald.

“Emily Fluke edged Emma Lorton in their season-long battle for medalist honors, 55 to 56,” Coach Lund said.
Krystal Johnson had a nine-hole score of 75.
Willapa Harbor hosted Northwest Christian Monday. Willapa Harbor travels to Adna Thursday to compete against the Pirates and North Beach.
