American Legion Potluck

The American Legion Raymond Post # 150 meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. A potluck dinner, beginning at 6:15 p.m. precedes the first meeting. The legion auxiliary also meets at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.

Society Board

Square Dancing Lessons

Swing her 'round and 'round! New square dance lessons are being held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Willapa Valley Grange at 290 Camp One Road, Raymond. All ages are welcome and you don't need to bring a partner. The cost is only $2 per person, per Thursday night. Come join us for fun and exercise while learning to do-si-do! The South Bend Head Start Preschool Monthly Enrollment Meeting takes place on the fourth Tuesday and Thursday of Every Month at 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the South Bend Head Start Preschool. There is also farm fresh seasonal produce. Also available year-round is local farm fresh eggs, gourmet jams, jellies, honey, dips, dressings, seafood products, baked goodies, coffee products and other condiments. There is also creative jewelry with special orders welcomed, garden art, photography, clothing, hats and quillows, birdhouses, pottery, goat milk soap, hand woven items, and woodcraft. Chainsaw Safety Class

Firewood enthusiasts, mark your calendars for Saturday, September 27th, as that's when Harold Strozyk, longtime logger and Raymond resident, will conduct a chainsaw safety class on his property at 386 South Fork Road. This is a non-alcoholic, potluck event, so bring your favorite dish and be prepared to learn the safe method for operating your chainsaw. Bring along a chair if you'd like to sit; this class will be conducted in the woods near Harold's home. All silver and dishware provided, and a porta potty will be on-site. Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch

The Willapa Harbor Health Foundation will host a Celebrate Life, Power in Pink Champagne Brunch with a Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch at the Willapa Harbor Community Center in South Bend on Saturday, October 11 from 11 am-2 pm. Tickets are $10. There will be motivational speakers, music, raffles, prizes, etc.

The "Baby Play Group" for babies under 2 and their caregivers takes place on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. at the Raymond Timberland Library.
