American Legion Potluck

The American Legion Raymond Post # 150 meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. A potluck dinner, beginning at 6:15 p.m. precedes the first meeting. The legion auxiliary also meets at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.

South Bend

Willapa Harbor Helping Hands

Willapa Harbor Helping Hands is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and conducts meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. The public is welcome. Willapa Harbor Helping Hand is a local non-profit organization serving and helping support residents currently undergoing treatment for cancer. For more information, call 875-5550. Raymond

The Raymond Timberland library hosts a fun afternoon of cookie decorating and gift making starting at 3:30 pm. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Raymond Timberland Library and lasts an hour.

Gun Club

The Willapa Harbor Gun Club meets the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Gun Club located at 37 Butte Creek Road by the Bonneville Substation, trap shooting is the first and third Thursday of ever month at 6 p.m. For more information please call Dwaine Rogers, treasurer at 942-5524.

Square Dancing Lessons

Swing her 'round and 'round! New square dance lessons are being held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Willapa Valley Grange at 290 Camp One Road, Raymond. All ages are welcome and you don't need to bring a partner. The cost is only $2 per person, per Thursday night. Come join us for fun and exercise while learning to do-si-do! Food Bank

The Willapa Harbor Ministerial Association Food Bank, located on the corner of Larch Street and Park Avenue in Raymond, is generally open to serve those in need every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Commodities are offered at the beginning of the month while supplies last. Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch meets at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Janine Saul's home. Please call 942-5358 for directions. Everyone interested in establishing a Neighborhood Watch in his or her area is encouraged to attend. Change begins in and near our homes, so please join us as we strive to create safer neighborhoods.

The Raymond Merchants are sponsoring a free Holiday Movie rated G or PG. The doors open at 12:00 the movie starts at 1:00. Frosty the Snowman will be on hand before the movie and Santa will make an appearance after the show. The concession stand will be open for your purchases of popcorn, candy and pop. This is the same day as the Lighted Holiday Parade.

The Coastal Community Action Program is hosting its Third Annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 6 from 10 am to 3 pm at 324 Jackson St. in Raymond. Proceeds from the bazaar and silent auction will benefit the Senior Nutrition Program. There will be craft vendors, goodies for the holidays, holiday décor, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction ending that day at 3 pm, and much more. Table space is available for $5. Pet Photos with Santa at Dennis Company starts at 10 am. Santa will be there until 2 pm. HAVA will have cookies and punch while Dennis Company will be offering deals on pet supplies and food. For $15, you'll get a professionally edited photo and a link to a photo site where you can download all the pictures of your best friend.

The Raymond Theatre is holding a Christmas Concert featuring the Willapa Harbor Chorale starting at 7 pm. There is no charge for the concert, although donations are accepted during intermission.

The Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce meets once a month on the second Monday of every month at noon at the Willapa Harbor Community Center, located at First and Alder Streets, in South Bend. Chamber members, business owners and civic groups are urged to attend these meetings and contribute to the growing economy of the Willapa Harbor area.

The local chapter of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Tuesday morning at New Life on Commercial St. in Raymond. Quilters Meet Tuesdays

Join florist Christina Miller and learn the secrets of creating floral holiday arrangements. Bring a shallow dish (about 6 to 8 inches in diameter) and a special ornament. Other materials provided. Class at the South Bend Timberland Library runs from 3 pm to 5 pm and the class at the Raymond Timberland Library runs from 6 pm to 8 pm. Register by stopping by the library.
