Cowlitz Fisheries Annual Project Review meeting set for May 19
Tacoma Power, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Cowlitz Fisheries Technical Committee will host a public meeting about Cowlitz River fisheries and hatchery programs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19.
The meeting will take place at Centralia College's Walton Science Center, Room 121 (620 Centralia College Blvd.).
Attendees will learn about the Fisheries and Hatchery Management Plan review process and have an opportunity to provide input on issues such as the summer-run steelhead recycling program.
A second public meeting to finalize the Annual Project Review process will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, at the same location.

Castle Rock Library book sale
The Friends of the Library are having a book sale in the back room of the Castle Rock Library, 137 Cowlitz Street W.
The sale starts at 11 am and runs until 6 pm on Friday May 20, and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday May 21.

CC Students to host Pride event May 23
The Centralia College Gender and Sexuality Alliance club is hosting a Pride celebration from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, May 23, on the Aadland Esplanade on the college campus.
This free, family-friendly event will feature vaudeville performances by the Hub City Shimmy, live music, local vendors, tie dye t-shirts, and crafts. All are welcome.
