Vision:Toledo - What's Happening January, 2015

The 5th Annual BIG Toledo Community Meeting is scheduled for March 26 at the Toledo Middle School. If you would like to help organize or present something to the community at the BIG Meeting, email mike@morganartscentre.com

Timberland Library has announced they will include the Toledo Community Library location in their out-reach programs. The library continues to see new patrons, and more events being scheduled. There will be a tea party (non-political) held on Valentine's Day.

The Toledo Historical society has set up new space is in the Toledo Community Library with lots of materials such as newspapers, artifacts, photographs, and a microfilm reader.

The Holiday Lights Contest had 14 winners who were chosen for the best looking holiday light displays. The judges rode in a school bus or on the festival wagon supplied by Ed & Jean Borte. Each winner received a $25 or $50 gift certificate to local participating businesses.

The Cowlitz Tribe has given the eagle statue from the Gospodor Monument collection to vision:Toledo, to display in downtown Toledo. vision:Toledo is looking for volunteers to build a pedestal for it and to help move the statue to its new home. Call (360) 864-4278 or (360) 864-2121 if you can help.
