Timberland Library has announced they will include the Toledo Community Library location in their out-reach programs. The library continues to see new patrons, and more events being scheduled. There will be a tea party (non-political) held on Valentine's Day.
The Toledo Historical society has set up new space is in the Toledo Community Library with lots of materials such as newspapers, artifacts, photographs, and a microfilm reader.
The Holiday Lights Contest had 14 winners who were chosen for the best looking holiday light displays. The judges rode in a school bus or on the festival wagon supplied by Ed & Jean Borte. Each winner received a $25 or $50 gift certificate to local participating businesses.
The Cowlitz Tribe has given the eagle statue from the Gospodor Monument collection to vision:Toledo, to display in downtown Toledo. vision:Toledo is looking for volunteers to build a pedestal for it and to help move the statue to its new home. Call (360) 864-4278 or (360) 864-2121 if you can help.
