For their first game against Lake Quinault, despite it being a non-league game, the Viking girls more than doubled their opponent's score with a final score of 57 to 25. Coach Bannish mentioned Alicia Smaciarz and Madison Huber for the game against Lake Quinault, Alicia for her 17 points made, and Madison for the 11 rebounds she was able to pull down.
The Viking girls also traveled to the South Bend gym on Saturday, December 6 to play against the Indian girls. The Viking girls didn't quite get to double the Indian's score, but they came pretty close. The final score of the game came out to 51 to 32. The Vikings were able to secure 18 points in the first quarter, and keep a lead on the Indians throughout the game. Karli Friese had 29 of the 51 points scored total, along with 15 rebounds, and 10 steals.
