Valley boys, Raymond girls win in golf

Amanda Koski was the medalist for the girls with her 56, which was one shot better than Ilwaco’s Phoebe Millsay's. The Willapa Harbor girls shot a 251 to defeat Ilwaco.

Below are the scores for the local players. North Beach also had three boys compete.

Willapa Valley Boys (174): Connor McAllister (41), Nicholas Betrozoff (41), Cameron McAllister (43), Spencer Schwiesow (49).

Raymond Boys: John Stigall (58), Dakota Topping (61), Nicholas Topping (69).

South Bend Boys: Miles Davis (51), Zane Johnson (54).

Willapa Harbor Girls (251): Amanda Koski (56), Emily Fluke (59), Kaity Nissell (63), Krystal Johnson (73), Emma Lorton          (76).

Vikes Second at Cathlamet

Host Wahkiakum shot a 169 to defeat Willapa Valley by 14 strokes last Thursday at Cathlamet. South Bend, Raymond and North Beach also competed but did not field full teams.

Willapa Valley (183): Nicholas Betrozoff (38), Connor McAllister (46), Spencer Schwiesow (47), Cameron McAllister (52), Markus Eastham (55), Dylan Barrett (58).

South Bend Boys: Miles Davis (53), Zane Johnson (53), Jordon Stigall (72).

Raymond Boys: John Stigall (61), Nicholas Topping (61), Dakota Topping (60).

Harbor Girls Improve

“Kaity Nissell of Valley and Emma Lorton of South Bend both shot 52 and Emily Fluke of Valley had a 54,” Lund told the Herald. “I believe all of those are career bests.

”Hadley Moore (of North Beach) withdrew due to illness,” Lund reported. “Monday's medallist, Amanda Koski of Raymond, headed up the blood drive and was not available to play today.”
