The prom was held by Kaley Hanson to help support Keller in her struggle with diabetes, and to help offset the costs of her medical expenses as she is on a waiting list for organ transplants.
The prom kicked off with the Michael Jackson cover band, which in turn brought the crowd of formal attired townspeople out onto the dance floor.
"It was an amazing night of dancing, laughing and lifting up one of our own. The organizers would like to thank everyone involved in this benefit for their overwhelming support. This community has come together raising over $8500 (and counting) for Andrea," said Hanson.
"With over 200 people in attendance, and over 40 individuals or businesses donating items, the decorating/clean up crew, countless people that prepared finger foods and desserts, photographers, bartenders, coat checkers, greeters, band mates, sound techs and a DJ it is impossible to individually list everyone. Simply put, Thank You," Hanson said.
"We were unable to get everyone's donated items on the auction block because we planned for about 20 items and received over 60. We just simply ran out of space in the final hour because of this community's generosity. We will continue our silent auction online for the remaining items. This will be done in the next couple weeks with more details to come," noted Hanson.
The night was celebrated with a silent auction and the crowning of a Prom King and Queen as well as a Best Dressed contest.
