Vader, along with other communities with small and large streams are feeling the effects of a presumably wet & windy Christmas season.
Contractors are nearing completion of the $1.3 million construction project for the Vader water system. Vader will soon have hydrants that meet code, and hopefully eliminate future breaks due to very outdated lines.
Vader continues to explore a possible four-city law enforcement cooperative. The city attorney will prepare a draft inner-local agreement for consideration to the respective city councils, hoping to have something in the very near future to benefit all four communities.
If you’re planning on traveling for Christmas, be sure to have adequate supplies in case of an emergency along the way. If you’re coming back toward home, stop by the I-5 rest stop and get a free cup of coffee and cookies from the Vader Citizens League.
Blessings to all, and to all a wonderful Christmas celebration. What a wonderful time of year to reflect and to look forward to another year.
