Neighborhood Watch will hold a citywide meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Fire Hall. A 2013 schedule of events will be discussed along with potential CERT Class dates. Let’s work together to keep our small community safe.
Olequa (Winlock) Senior Center is close at hand and a good place to be with other seniors and get some very low cost nutritious meals.
REMINDER: It’s time to renew your Dog License for 2013. Deadline is Jan. 31. Fees are $10.50 for spayed and neutered dogs, $18.75 otherwise. Penalties for non-compliance will begin in February.
A public hearing regarding a grant application for side sewer replacements will be held Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. in City Hall. For more information, call City Hall at (360) 295-3222.
The city recently purchased a new/used cement mixer and will begin using it for appropriate street maintenance and other needs around the city.
Parks Board: Steve Krohn is the new chairman and will begin meetings to better enhance our parks for public use. The next public meeting will be in February, watch for the date, time and place.
The Lions next meeting will be Thursday at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Their annual Crab Feed is scheduled for the first part of March this year. Tickets will be pre-sold by all Lions Members.
