The weather has been great, and boy have the grass and shrubs been growing. All this means an added workload for local Park Board volunteers, especially as May Day is approaching. Just 10 days until May Day, so be sure to enter your float in the parade, or prepare some food and/or wares to sell at the many vendor booths. Time remains to prepare your entry for the annual Country Cruisers Car Club Car Show Scheduled for June 9 at McMurphy Park. The entry fee is $15 and the show is open to finished and unfinished vehicles, with the option of multiple entries per person. For more information, call Club President Al Bangs at (360) 827-1899.
The next meeting of the Vader City Council is scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. at City Hall and officials are expected to discuss the potential expansion of Werden Park, among other topics.
