Thanks to the members of the Lions Club for making Saturday’s Easter Egg Hunt possible. We know we printed otherwise in the last column, but the volunteers at the club make the egg hunt possible every year, not City Hall (our bad). Organizers said the event was a success, and the bright sunshine that day sure didn’t hurt.
The Lions will be having their twice-monthly meeting at the Lions Hall this Thursday at 6 p.m. There will be a potluck and all members of the public curious about becoming involved in Lions activities are encouraged to attend.
The play equipment at Werden Park is looking great, with fresh bark chips laid for children’s safety by volunteers with the Vader Park Board. A new addition has also been installed – a tetherball pole donated by resident Lois Wilson. Lois is still recovering from surgery but we are all grateful for the contributions she continues to make to the city.
For those who may be interested, Town Crier is still looking for someone to fill the position of Vader Columnist full-time. You don’t have to live in Vader, but should be actively involved with their community and events. Interested parties should contact Editor Stephen Floyd at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more of how to throw your hat in the ring. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to stay involved with your community.
