The Captain Rob McLaughlin Scholarship Program is now available to eligible candidates. This program is intended to model the commitment and dedication demonstrated by Captain Rob McLaughlin.
This program was established in 2007 and gives fire fighter applicants a chance to pursue a higher level of training when they cannot afford the training otherwise.
This scholarship is open only to U.S. Citizens who reside in the State of Washington. They must be affiliated with the fire service by providing volunteer service for a minimum of 1 year to a community and/or fully employed by a fire department.
To qualify applicants must have graduated from High School or have a GED prior to filing the scholarship application. Candidates must also possess a valid Washington State Driver's License.
Course work shall be completed within 12 months of receipt of the award.
This scholarship covers all tuition fees and may cover costs of textbooks, lab fees, testing fees and administrative fees.
