Both candidates submitted written responses to a detailed questionnaire followed by a competitive interview process. Darren O'Neil, who represents Southwest Washington Teamsters Local 252, which includes Pacific County, and Lilly Wilson-Codega, Teamsters Political Action Director, were among those who conducted the competitive interview and then recommended McClain to the Joint Council, who approved the endorsement.
"I'm honored to have the Teamsters' support along with that from the Farm Bureau and each police chief from Pacific County," McClain said, adding, "These endorsements show that this race is not about partisan politics, but selecting the best candidate to serve the citizens of Pacific County. I am honored by their support."
