There was an amazing set, kind of a “Cross between Ugly Ed’s and Sanford and Son.” The four actors were all wonderful in demanding roles, using a good timing and flow, as comedy isn’t so easy to achieve. There were noble hillbillies and ignoble royal pretenders, quality accents from country like, to Australian and the guy hair to die for! The play was funny while having a message too, and is fine for all ages within our species.
I’m writing this to encourage those who attend these plays regularly to continue and for those that haven’t (Such as some of the loyal supporters of Sunday afternoon live) to attend. I know from being in some of these plays in the past that is a huge time and energy commitment but well worthwhile with enthusiastic and appreciative audiences. There is a lot of talent in this community and if you just show up to these plays you will acknowledge this and appreciate what they are giving to the community. (All participants are volunteers!)
So, if you read this, please get out and see future performances at the Hannan Playhouse, the red building across from 8th St. Park in Raymond. All this fun for only a few pennies more than ONE BEER (Now I got your attention, eh) at a Seahawk game. Cheers!
