Smaciarz excels at World Dairy Expo

 The contest is divided into different dairy breeds, which Oregon State took high honors and some individual honors in these breeds. The team took third place overall in the contest, with the following members: Hayden Bush and Kristin Kaste, Tillamook, Ore; Smaciarz, Raymond; and Matthew Jansen, Forest Grove, Ore. All four members were awarded All-American Honors, which means all four members were in the Top 25 of all the competitors. 

Smaciarz, daughter of Terry and Lana Smaciarz, and a 2011 graduate of Willapa Valley High School, won many individual honors. For the breed awards: Holsteins 4^th place team, Smaciarz was 10^th place individual; Brown Swiss 5^th place team, Smaciarz was 9^th individual; Guernsey 3^rd place team, Andrea was 8^th individual; Jersey 5^th place team; Red and White Holsteins 1^st place team, Smaciarz was 2^nd place individual, and for overall contest awards – OSU was 3^rd place team, and Smaciarz was 9^th place individual.
