Signing up for health insurance

Individuals and families without health insurance and who are eligible, may begin signing up for low cost or subsidized health plans on line and can compare rates and benefits to choose the plan that best fits you or your families needs.

Willapa Harbor Hospital will have a computer, printer and phone available for those that would like to check out rates or sign up for insurance.  There will be staff available that can help you through the system if you need assistance.

The Admissions department, Discharge Planning and Business Office all have staff that can help answer questions and help you navigate the system.

Remember, open enrollment for the program started October 1 and ends March 31, 2014, and insurance coverage begins on January 1, 2014 or the month after you are signed up.

You will need the following information to sign up for coverage:

-         Household monthly income.

-         Social Security number and date of birth of each household member applying for coverage.

-         Immigration information, if that applies to you.
