Rayce Newman figured in three of Raymond's touchdowns. He threw a 70-yard scoring strike to Jace Freeman, ran in from 25 yards away, and returned a punt for another score.
Elliott Murdock scored 2 TDs on runs of 10 and 52 yards, and Freeman scored a second TD on a 20-yard pass from Kason Koski.
"Raymond's line play and their speed were evident from the beginning of the game," said SBHS Head Football coach Tom Sanchez. "We went in hoping to force them to pass and they had some success with that as well. They are a good football team."
"Defensively, we played fairly well in the second half, and we had a hard time sustaining anything on offense," Sanchez added. "We are making progress, but we still have some work to do."
Raymond head coach Luke Abbott said that he was happy with both his offense and defense. "we played a good four quarters of football," Abbott said. "Everyone got to play."
South Bend's Ryan Overstake netted 55 yards rushing on 8 carries. Overstake recorded 6 total tackles on defense.
Raymond outgained South Bend 358 to 109. The Seagulls rushed for 264 yards.
Freeman netted 95 yards receiving, and Murdock rushed for 95 yards.
Raymond takes to the road with a visit to Ilwaco Friday, while South Bend (2-4) travels to Chief Leschi.
