Science Night at Winlock Elementary School was quite a success. Parents were on hand to show the students different science projects. Tommy Thompson of Winlock taught students how to make "lava lamps," while Brandon Brown made kazoos.
Boyd Calderon, principal of Winlock Miller Elementary, stated students could "dig for fossil fuels, make lava lamps. We even have a Boeing engineer here."
Merlin Williams of Vader was that Boeing engineer who was on hand to help the students.
Principal Calderon stated there were about 30 students in attendance when he spoke with the Crier, but the night was still young.
