Schray, Maneman receive top honors for Pacific League

Raymond HS senior Abby Maneman was named the Most Valuable Player of the Pacific League by a vote of coaches. Raymond head coach Jon Schray was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Lady Seagulls to an undefeated league championship and 22-4 record.

Raymond senior Courtney Hagain and sophomore Aiysha Garcia were also selected to the first team. Also named to the first team were Katlyn Sawyer, jr., South Bend; Karli Friese, jr., and Michaela Huber, sr., Willapa Valley; and Wakeena DeLaCruz, sr., North Beach.

Second team members included Myranda Curtis, sr., Makenzie Russell, jr., and Sierra Cearns, jr., South Bend; and Megan VanMarter, so., Northwest Christian.

Honorable Mention status was given to Naselle: Katie Green; North Beach: Marya Pope. Mousie Shale; Northwest Christian: Hailey Bredeson, Emily VanMarter; Raymond: Hailee Williams, Shylo Boyes; and Willapa Valley: Abbee Bannish.

The Sportsmanship Award was awarded to Ocosta.

The All Academic Team (3.70 accumulative GPA) included: Naselle: Mary Wirkkala, Kendra Leeland, Ciara Sandell, Katie Green,

Haley Pine, Emily Bjornsgard; North Beach: Emily Takagi, Madi Schreiber, Cora Pope, Marya Pope; Northwest Christian: Emily VanMarter; Ocosta: Kate Christensen, Rebekah Saul, Courtney Rutzer; Raymond: Aiysha Garcia, Gabby Oatfield; South Bend: Myranda Curtis, Katlyn Sawyer, Kessa Wilson, Makenzie Russell, Emily Sanchez, Morgan Patterson, Tammi Koushonhsavath; Willapa Valley: Michaela Huber, Morgan Walker, Abbee Bannish, Abby Smaciarz, Emily Fluke, Lauren Friese, Mackenzie Trotter, Jessica Cook and Karli Friese.
