Deputies are seeking a Salkum man in connection with the repeated rape and molestation of a 13-year-old girl, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Raul B. Castillo-Lopez, 26, is being sought on a $100,000 arrest warrant for second-degree rape, second-degree child molestation and contact with a child for immoral purposes and is believed to still be in the area, but reportedly may have fled to Mexico.

He was identified as the suspect after deputies responded Feb. 5 to reports of the Salkum-area victim experiencing ongoing sexual assault. Evidence collected at the scene led investigators to Castillo-Lopez and those with information on his whereabouts are encouraged to call the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 748-9286 or, to leave an anonymous tip, Lewis County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-748-6422.
