The spring Garage Sales will be this weekend, so I expect to see lots of folks visiting. Town folks having Sales are asked to mark their addresses on the maps located in Community Hall, the Café and the RISA office. For residents who aren't having their own sales, the Women's Club will accept donations for their big sale every day until the Sale.
The Veterans will sell jumbo Hot Dogs with all the fixings both days of the Sale. That will be at Community Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Friday, the Café will serve French Dip Sandwiches from 4 - 6 p.m. No reservations are required and the cost is $6.
Other activities over the weekend include: Saturday's Game Night at the Café at 7 p.m. Finger foods and snacks are welcome. Sunday evening is Card Bingo at 6:30 p.m. in Community Hall. It's a great way to share your loose change with your neighbors.
As usual, delicious burgers (beef, chicken and veggie) and home-made soups will be served at the Café on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. It's worth noting that the prices have not changed even though the cost of the beef burgers has nearly doubled in recent years.
Senior Nutrition lunch on Tuesday the 28th will be Beef Stroganoff with mashed potatoes and tossed salad. For a $3 donation, the meals are a real bargain for those over 60 years of age. Call me at (360) 295-3813 or Jan at (360) 295-0597 to make or break reservations.
Hot on the heels of the Garage Sale weekend is the upcoming Spring Arts & Crafts Fair the weekend of May 15 & 16. It promises to be bigger and better than ever with both Community Hall and Pioneer Hall filled with vendors. The Quilt Display will also be at Pioneer Hall. The RWCS Bake Sale will be in the kitchen of Community Hall but lunch will be served at the Café.
