This week is busy for all the ladies in town. The women's club is going to Parker’s in Castle Rock for lunch on Wednesday. They will leave from the café promptly at 11:30 a.m. The red hats will gather in Pioneer Hall at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Saturday evening is the next Open Mike. There has been a pretty good group showing up every couple of weeks. Now that it stays light later, it's a pleasant drive out to Ryderwood on a nice evening.
On Sunday there will be a special treat at the Ryderwood community church. The gospel sons from the Vancouver area will perform at the morning services at 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend this very special service in a very special place with some very special people. There will be a potluck to follow.
I don't have this week's menus for the Friday night dinner at the café or the senior nutrition lunch on Tuesday with me at the time of this writing. They will, no doubt be special.
Next weekend is Easter and preparing for the cafe re-flooring to begin on Tuesday, April 22, meeting some special things will be happening. Friday night's dinner will not be at the café but will be a scrumptious beef stew served at community hall. That's at 5 p.m.
Saturday night's Town potluck is canceled, as the Social Club will host an Easter dinner potluck on Easter Sunday at 1 p.m. in the community hall. Meats and beverages provided. Potluck salads, sides and desserts are requested.
Last, Monday evening's karaoke as well as burgers and soup at the café are canceled. For sure there will be soup and grilled cheese sandwiches served community hall from 4 to 6 p.m. and all are welcome.
I think that covers most everything that's going on this week. I apologize for any possible mistakes or omissions in this article. I think I did pretty good for being on vacation. Have a great week.
