Here’s wishing everyone a fine Easter holiday. The Community Dinner on Sunday will start at 2 p.m. in Community Hall. Fill out the sign-up sheet in Community Hall or call Sharon at (360) 353-8745 ASAP. The Social Club will supply baked ham, roast beef and beverages. Bring your own table service (or settle for paper/plastic) and a salad, side dish or dessert to share.
The Spring Town-Wide Garage Sales will be April 26 and 27. These bi-annual sales (another one is held the last full weekend of August) have been historically popular in the area. The quality and quantity of sale items brings folks to town from near and far. The Women’s Club will have their huge sale at Pioneer Hall (201 Morse St.). There will be a map of at the Café of known residential sales. Call me to get your address on the map.
The last “Acoustic Saturday Night” at the Café featured a full slate of performers from near and far along with a large and appreciative audience. Paul & Einstein host this fun event the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month at 7 p.m.
Karaoke returns to the Café on Monday April 8 at 6:30 p.m. and every other week after that. Jot down your favorites – Sherry has them all! If you don’t want to perform, maybe someone else will.
It’s official: the Ryderwood Post Office (Zip Code 98581) will remain open! Beginning May 4, weekday hours change to 11:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., while Saturday hours (9:45 – 10:45) will remain the same.
Myron Nelson from the Castle Rock Senior Center will teach his last “55 Alive” (AARP’s safe driving class that reduces your insurance rates) in Ryderwood on Thursday, May 2. Look for a sign-up sheet in Community Hall.
