We didn’t make it to the last Acoustic Saturday Night on the 23rd, but I saw the sign-up sheet left on the piano and it was full from top to bottom. We were sorry to miss the re-debut of our saxophonist with the lung transplant. The next one will be this coming Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the Café.
Going back to Wednesday this week, there will be an Open House for Newcomers @ 1 p.m. in the Café. Refreshments will be served and it will be an opportunity to “meet & greet” new (and not-so-new) neighbors.
Wednesday is also when reservations for Friday night’s Dinner @ the Café need to be made. Call Linda at 295-0875. The menu is Taco Salad (choice of beef, chicken or veggie) and the price is $8 each and includes beverage and dessert. Pull out your finest Aloha Shirt for the Luau meal on the 22nd.
Sunday marks the beginning of Daylight Saving Time, so remember to change your clocks. With Spring starting on the 20th, crocuses and jonquils are making themselves known.
Tuesday’s Nutrition Menu has a St. Patrick’s Day theme with Irish Stew, Heritage Cabbage, Irish Soda Bread and Rice Pudding. For $2.50 (if you’re over 60), you can’t beat these meals.
Registration forms for the Spring Arts & Crafts Fair are available at “The Nest” or by contacting Marty at 295-0096. You can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for an emailed copy.
The CPR Class at the Fire Hall is scheduled for Saturday March 23rd from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Call Ellis at 295-3320 to see if there is still room for participants. There will be no charge for Ryderwood residents though a donation is requested.
