The Valentine’s Prime Rib dinner at the Café was a sell-out. My apologies to anyone thinking they could still get a reservation when they read about it last week. The building has a maximum capacity set by the Health Department but sometimes they can do take-outs.
This Friday night’s dinner is Brown-Sugar Meatloaf with all the trimmings. This is an all-time favorite meal, so call Linda quickly: 295-0875. Tuesday’s Sr. Nutrition Lunch will feature Chicken Chow Mein as the main dish. Call Jan at 295-0597 by Monday evening to make reservation.
Saturday night will be the next Open Mic (aka Acoustic Saturday Night) in the Café at 7 p.m. There have been some fine guests joining in with some regulars and it would be great to see more.
Ryderwood’s VFW Post 7010 will hold its monthly meeting on Monday morning at 11:30 in the Dining Room of Community Hall. This is the group of guys who put on the monthly Town Breakfast. One current project is scanning all the historic photographs hanging and available around town. They expect to print them in various formats (postcards, photos, etc.) and have available for sale.
Don’t forget the burgers and soup that are available from 4-6 p.m. at the Café. Especially as the days get longer (Daylight Saving Time begins just two weeks from this Sunday!) and weather improves, it’s a nice ride out to the end of SR 506.
Fire District 20 will provide CPR classes in Ryderwood when enough people sign up for it. (Look in Community Hall and the Café or call Ellis at 295-3320.) The schedule will be determined by those interested in taking the class.
Until next week…
