This is a busy week for the ladies with both the Women's Club luncheon on Wednesday at noon and the Red Hat ladies gathering on Thursday at 2 p.m. - both meetings take place in Pioneer Hall. The Women's Club lunch is will be their annual baked potato bar, so guests should bring toppings to share.
Friday night's dinner at the Café will feature Russ's Baked Dinner with Scalloped Potatoes. Beverage, Salad and Dessert are always included for $9. Reservations are required and need to be made by 6 p.m. Wednesday - Call Linda at (360) 295-0875.
For Valentine's Day, the Men's Fellowship group at the Church is inviting Ryderwood-ites to a Valentine's Day Brunch at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The sign-up sheet is in the Café.
Monday has burgers and homemade soup at the Café from 4 to 6 p.m. This week has Karaoke following at 6:30 p.m. The burgers - beef, chicken or veggie - are cooked to perfection and served with all the trimmings, including grilled onions if desired. The soups are almost always homemade with fresh ingredients. Come out and enjoy!
The Senior Nutrition menu for Tuesday, Feb. 17, is Turkey Tetrazzini with Broccoli Normandy and Tossed Salad. For those over 60 years of age, the requested donation for the meals is $3. Ryderwood History Project. Bill Greear, a Ryderwood native, and some friends are collecting old photographs, memorabilia and audio-video interviews for a comprehensive history of Ryderwood. These will be scanned and recorded for long-term preservation. All photographs will be scanned and returned along with digital copies. Bill can be reached at (360) 880-3555.
