An Aberdeen man was arrested for indecent exposure in Hoquiam earlier this week after police say he was found running around K Street completely nude.
Hoquiam Police Chief Jeff Myers related that Hoquiam Officer Dennis Luce responded to the corner of 6th and K Street around 7:40 pm Monday to find the man with his pants around his ankles. Officer Luce said in his report that there were many people in the area walking, riding bikes, and children playing in yards.
The man was jumping up and down screaming about how much of a crisis he was in as police arrived in front of the Elks Club. Identified as 43-year-old Richard Stone of Aberdeen, he initially replied that he was "Buford T. Justice" when asked for his name. He pulled his pants up for police, but Luce said he refused to comply further, and kept saying "just take me to jail."
As the man was being taken into custody on indecent exposure, and false statement charges, Luce called the crisis clinic to see if they were missing anybody, they said they had just released Richard Stone for being disruptive and causing problems.
Stone was booked into the Hoquiam City Jail on charges of Indecent Exposure, and Providing False or Misleading Statements to a Police Officer.
