Because of poor field conditions in Raymond, the Raymond vs Morton-White Pass crossover football game will be played at Stewart Field in Aberdeen this Friday at 7 pm.
"Field conditions are very soft and wet," RHS Athletic Director Mike Tully told the Herald. "The dry weather and our maintenance crew has kept it in great shape up to this point, but the rain over the weekend softened it up to the point where I didn't think it would hold up to a week of practice plus a game. Obviously, we'd love to play on our home field, but we're pretty familiar with Stewart Field at this point, having played several games there over the past few years."
Pe Ell-Willapa Valley's playoff game is tentatively scheduled for Crogstad Field Nov. 13 at 7 pm. The Titans play the winner of Onalaska-Life Christian Academy. However, the field has to pass inspection by District IV officials. If it does not, the game will be played at a nearby turf field on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1:30 pm, according to Willapa Valley HS Athletic Director John Peterson.
"We are pushing very hard for a Friday night game," Peterson said.
There are three more first round playoff games involving the Pacific League and the Central League on Friday, 7 pm, including:
- Ilwaco (6-3) at Napavine (7-2)
- Life Christian (6-2) at Onalaska (5-4)
- Rainier (5-4) at Toledo (8-1)
