Rainier Days in the Park this weekend

The Community of Rainier, Ore., will be holding their annual Rainier Days in the Park summer festival, and all area residents are invited to this free community event. Featuring family-friendly games and prizes, this event brings entertainment from all around the region, culminating in a huge fireworks display on Saturday night.

Thursday

Open 3 p.m. until the fun ends.

Friday

Open 11 a.m. until the fun ends.

8 p.m. – Gold Dust (a Fleetwood Mac tribute band) to perform.

Saturday

7 to 11 a.m. – pancake breakfast at Methodist church (1st St. and c St.)

10 a.m. – Parade.

Open 11 a.m. until the fun ends.

1 p.m. – Pizza eating contest.

4 to 6 p.m. – Miss Oregon meet and greet.

4 p.m. – Parade awards.

7:30 p.m. – Presentation of the Chief Ralph Painter Citizenship Award.

8 p.m. – The Mulch Bros to perform.

10 p.m. – Biggest fireworks display on the Columbia River.

(Tune in to PEAK 98.3 FM for music synced with the fireworks.

Sunday

7 to 10 a.m. – Pancake breakfast at the senior center.

10 a.m. – All-church service.

1 p.m. – Battle of the bands.

5 p.m. – Kutless to perform.
