Denise Green has been serving as a member of the Winlock City Council since being appointed in May of 2011.
She has often described herself as a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility and holding other leaders and entities accountable, and has provided staunch opposition to policies she feels do not meet the best interests of Winlock.
She has labeled business growth as one of her priorities and has taken steps such as contacting the owners of downtown storefronts to ask how the city can help them better display and advertise vacant buildings.
She has also said she has a passion for Winlock’s history and has researched and displayed information about the city’s historic buildings and districts.
If elected, Green has promised she will improve the level and manner of communication with which City Hall presents itself to bring about a clearer decision-making process.
