Mary Imogene Kjoberg, 89, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the St. Peters Hospital in Olympia. She was born December 31, 1923 in Wolf County, Kentucky to John Frank and Pearl (Gilbert) Cable.
Mary loved tending to her garden and her houseplants. She was an excellent cook. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, sewing, singing and playing guitar for her children, grandchildren and family and driving her “big red bomber” car.
She is survived by three daughters, Jody Monson, Starla Flemetis and Shannon Wylie, all of Raymond; a son, Darrel (Sheila) Kitchen of Hemet, California; and a brother, Garland Cable of South Bend. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and acquaintances, and her dog, Arby, also survive Mary.
A son, David Kitchen, and her husband, Nels Thomas Kjoberg, precede her in death.
