On May 27 about 7:16 pm Aberdeen Police Officers responded to the restaurant at 212 S. I Street for a subject threatening to kill everyone in the restaurant.
When officers arrived the suspect, a white male, 25 years of age, had locked himself in the bathroom. The officers could hear him damaging property in the bathroom and could see water coming out from under the bathroom door.
The officers kicked open the door. The fire sprinkler system was broken and water was spraying every where. The officers entered the bathroom and were able to wrestle the suspect out of the bathroom where he continued to resist arrest.
The suspect was arrested and handcuffed.
The Aberdeen Fire Department was called to check the suspect who was determined to not have serious injuries. The suspect was transported and booked into the Aberdeen Jail.
The fire sprinkler system caused water to leak into several areas of the building below the restaurant before the water was turned off. The owner of the building estimated the damage to be about $50,000 due to the water leaking into the businesses on the first floor of the building.
The suspect, identified as Joshua D. Krohn, residing in Aberdeen, was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on felony charges.
