Willapa Valley crushed Concrete 62-16 at the Jack Q. Pearson Holiday Classic at Tenoski Gym in Menlo Friday night. Karli Friese turned in another big night for the Vikings with 13 points and 6 steals.
"We played a pretty impressive first quarter," Willapa Valley HS Head Girls’ Basketball Coach Matt Bannish told the Herald. "We shot 13 of 17 from the field for the quarter enroute to 29 first quarter points. The lead gave us an opportunity to work on our half-court offenses. Emily Fluke and
Mackenzie Trotter played well for us tonight."
Lauren Friese scored a dozen points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Mackenzie Trotter scored 10 points and made 5 steals. Alicia Smaciarz scored 10 points. Emily Fluke netted 9 points and stole the ball 5 times. Sydney Wilkeson had 7 rebounds.
