Mikayla Collins of the Lady Gulls won the jump ball, and then got fouled underneath their basket. Collins went one for two on her foul shots, and then was able to win the ball back on the rebound and put up a shot. Right out of the gate, Raymond was at a 5 to 0 lead, but the Indians wouldn't go unanswered. Toledo fired back with a lay-up by Chaselin Rice, but Raymond brought it right back to make another basket of their own. Toledo brought the ball down court, and went for a drive to the basket when Cydney Flemetis was able to steal the ball, and throw the ball way down court to Aiysha Garcia, who received it and put up another effortless lay-up. The first quarter ended with a score of 13 to 4.
Raymond came out to the second quarter with as much gusto as they opened the first one, with possession of the ball, Raymond's Kinsey Collins took the ball down the court to make a lay-up, which was then rebounded by the Indians, and then put up to bring the score to a smooth 15 to 4, Raymond had a nine-point lead going into the second quarter. Toledo began to foul, Gabby Oatfield took her foul shots two for two, and then Garcia was fouled immediately. Garcia took her foul shots two for two and then gained control over the ball again before the Indians had a chance to get the ball, and then Raymond put it up one more time before Toledo was finally able to make a lay-up. Toledo kept their momentum, and Casee Rice put up a basket, and gained the ball back from Raymond after their attempt to get down court. Haley Tauscher of the Indians put up another lay-up, and then after gaining the ball back, Tauscher put up a three-pointer to finish the second quarter.
Coming into the third quarter, Toledo seemed to have figured something out, because the momentum that they left the second quarter with was brought with them into the third quarter, bringing on a series of lay ups before Raymond was able to gain control of the ball, and then keep it. With the amount of points scored on the last bout of lay-ups that Toledo had, the score came to an alarming 28 to 26, and Toledo reached out with just one more lay-up in order to bring the game to a tie late in the third quarter. Raymond got control of the ball again, and then Karlee Freeman was fouled on, and then went one for two on her foul shots, Raymond then gained possession of the ball on the rebound, when Cydney Flemetis was able put up a lay-up. The Indians responded with two points to keep them on the board and to end the third quarter 32 to 30.
Freeman of the Raymond Seagulls opened up the fourth quarter with two points, the Indians were stripped of the ball, down court Garcia of the Gulls was fouled while making a shot and then went one out of two on her foul shots. The Indians made sure to stay close behind the Gulls by making two baskets, bringing the score up to 37-36. Raymond took off in the last six minutes of the game, only allowing Casee Rice of the Indians to make one basket, and then one three pointer before they drove the ball into the basket several times to bring the score to 50 to 41. The Indians desperately clung onto the Gulls by making a basket. Gulls' Garcia was then fouled, and after Raymond got the rebound, Freeman held onto the ball until the last seconds ran off of the clock. The game ended with a score of 50 to 45 in the Raymond Seagull's favor. The Raymond girls continue in districts.
