Lady Gulls shred two more for 13th straight

Raymond continued its winning ways with its 12th and 13th straight victories in girl’s basketball. The Lady Seagulls of head coach Jon Schray logged victories over Ocosta (Thursday) and Rainier (Saturday).
In a non-league game at Rainier, Raymond (13-1) cruised to a 59-25 triumph over the Lady Mountaineers (7-8). Hailee Williams (16 pts), Abby Maneman (15) and Courtney Hagain (12) all scored in double figures for RHS.
The Lady Gulls were deadly at the foul line while sinking 18 of 20. After trailing 9-7 after one quarter, RHS outscored Rainier 52-16.
Aiysha Garcia (8 pts) and Maneman took down 10 rebounds each.
Lady Seagulls 63, Ocosta 18
Maneman (6 rebs, 4 steals) poured in 18 points, Williams (4 stls) whooshed the nets for 17 and Hagain (4 assists) hooked up for 10 to fuel the Lady Gulls to a 63-18 slaughter of visiting Ocosta. The score was 43-11 at halftime.
Shylo Boyes banged in eight points for RHS, which shot 44 percent from the floor on 23 of 52. Raymond was 13 of 28 at the free throw line while OHS never went to the charity stripe.
Raymond stayed perfect in the Pacific League at 7-0 while the Lady Wildcats sank to 2-12 and 0-7.
Raymond coasted in the junior varsity game 33-3.
Raymond visited South Bend Tuesday night, hosts North Beach Friday and travels to Tenino Monday (Jan. 21).
