has just recently won a top international award. The Knights of Columbus has earned the distinction of Star Council, one of the organization's top rewards.
The Star Council award recognizes overall excellence in areas of membership recruitment, and community service oriented activities. The award was presented to the Council #1606, our local Raymond Council, by Sir Kim Washburn, the State Warden for the Knights of Columbus. The presentation ceremony took place at the St. Lawrence Catholic church Dec. 14th.
In announcing the local winner of the award, Carl A. Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of the organization said, "Please accept my sincere congratulations upon attaining this prestigious award. Your dedication to the Order is seen in the high standard of excellence you have achieved."
"Receiving the Star Council award is quite an honor for us. We're extremely proud of this accomplishment," said former Grand Knight William Kennedy, with the current Grand Knight Clarence Williams.
