Kinder Kreations Owner Ruth Kinder
When it comes to promotional items, there is a new business in Toledo that is here to help promote your business. Kinder Kreations Owner Ruth Kinder is here to embroider on clothing or any other promotional items you need. She has been helping several businesses already.
Ruth is a very kind lady, you will find her very easy to talk to. She has been in the business since 2011, but just recently opened her business in Toledo.
"In the beginning I had an idea that I wanted to make and sell, but I needed an embroidery machine," said Ruth. "I had told a friend in confidence, but she said, 'Girl do you know what you could do if you had a commercial embroidery machine?' I looked at her and started to laugh. The adventure began with my first purchase of a commercial embroidery machine and getting a business license with the name of Ruth's Embroidery. I worked in a 12 x 12 bedroom until I graduated into screen printing, so I upgraded to the garage, soon the business grew out of the garage. One day while driving in the town of Napavine, I found my first brick and mortar building. I worked out of that store front for five years, then COVID closed the doors. I went onto a different adventure for the next two years which unfortunately did not pan out. I believe when one door closes another will open." The door definitely opened for her in Toledo.
Why did she decide on Toledo? Ruth continued, "I thoroughly enjoy small towns and their communities. I was at a local restaurant and talking with the owner she said it would be great to have your business here. She advised me there is a business office available on Cowlitz Street and it was available. I spoke with the owner Joe Notch to rent one of the offices and this is where the reopening of Kinder Kreations began again." She is all set up and ready to go in Toledo and she offers many services for her customers.
"I provide embroidering, direct to garment (DTG), promotional and personal items," she continued. 'I work with businesses, schools, and individuals. I do not have a minimum order. I take great care and attention to detail in the quality of my work. I also deliver within a 20 miles radius of the shop at 401 Cowlitz Street in Toledo. (This is a no cost service)."
You can tell when you sit and talk with Ruth she really loves what she does. "I really enjoy doing the service I provide," she said. 'I have so many funny memories over the years I have been in business, but one memory has stuck with me. I remember when I opened in Napavine I had a customer come in and asked if I would heat press on underwear, my first thought and my outside voice said, 'I hope they are brand new.' We both started to laugh and at that point I realized I am in the most wonderful business because I can do something fun and be discrete about it. I have always stood behind my tag line: Serving the Community One Stitch and Print at a Time. With that said I joined the South Lewis County Chamber of Commerce. This has been the best experience for me, I get to connect with other businesses that want to make the community a better place."
