Hoquiam Pride even bigger this year

The Second annual Grays Harbor Pride Festival was held on Saturday, August 22, with an attendance of about 1,700 people. This number is 700 more than the estimated attendance of last year's festival. Well over 300 people attended the Pride Drag and Rocky Horror Picture Show held at the Seventh Street Theatre.

12s rally to the Fan Fest

The 12s' Fan Fest and Beach Party Weekend has kicked off the professional football season in Ocean Shores. Special guest Mama (Delisa) Lynch was invited to the beach to help the raising of the 12th man flag, and the 12s gathered at the convention center on Friday night in anticipation of watching their favorite team test their metal in a pre-season game.

Elma Shines in the Heat

It was another successful car show in Elma with the annual Heat on the Street Car and Motorcycle Show.

The cruise-in brought over 100 vehicles on Friday night and 30 of those took part in the scheduled poker runs. The Midnight Cruizers of Grays Harbor took the numbers with the club bringing in the most participants and was awarded the Best Car Club Representation award. And the Elma Police took to Segways to patrol the event.

Last year, 38.1 million people in over 16,540 communities participated in National Night Out, including Hoquiam.

The 7th annual Heat on the Street custom car and motorcycle show is coming to downtown Elma on July 31.

The Friday night Cruise-In party will be hosted by Jason Olsen and family located at the Edward Jones parking lot (3rd & Waldrip Street) beginning at 4 p.m. Bring the family for a preview night of cars, music and fun until 8 p.m.

Historic Montesano Car Show

Over the July 18 weekend the 13th annual Historic Montesano Car Show was held and brought over 200 cars to the streets of Montesano.

Organizer Dave Foss was exhausted and happy after the long awards ceremony standing in ninety-degree heat as the show closed out.
