Jack L. Spath, 90, passed away on Sept. 28, 2014 in Centralia, Washington. He was born in Pe Ell, Washington to William and Kathryn (Fronia) Spath of Salkum, Washington. He attended school in Mossyrock and graduated from Mossyrock High School and attended Centralia College. Jack married Margaret L. Perniconi in 1961 and resided in Toledo, Washington until June 7, 2014. He worked for Weyerhaeuser as a loader operator until he retired in 1984. Jack enjoyed listening to the Mariners and Seahawks and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and bowling. He is survived by his step-daughter, Dixie (Howard) Johnson; grandchildren, David and Lori Johnson; great-grandson, Jack Roy, his namesake; and nephews and niece. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Spath; step-daughter, Mary Perniconi; parents, Bill and Kate Spath; sisters, Joy Dunlap and Barbara Short. The family would like to thank his neighbor, Pam McEchern and caregivers, Vera Cooper, Debbie Perez, Wanda Davidson and Valerie Ortega that made it possible for him to live at home until the last four months of his life. Donations may be made to Toledo Senior Center, payable to The Mighty Fine Seniors or charity of your choice. At his request there will be no services. |
