Indians close out season at 1-19
South Bend closed out its season with a 70-52 loss at Naselle January 29. Justin Elliott poured in 23 points and took down 11 rebounds.
Miles Davis netted 14 points, collected eight rebounds and dished out six assists for the Indians.
South Bend trailed 19-14 after one quarter, 42-25 at halftime, and 56-44 heading into the fourth quarter.
"We continued to improve during our last game of the season, South Bend head coach Tom Betrozoff told the Herald. “Naselle is a hard place for visiting teams to play and I was quite satisfied with our offensive effort against a good defensive club on their home floor. Their three-point shooting hurt us in the first half and their offensive rebounding was our demise in the second half.
“I would like to thank senior players for their contributions to the program," Betrozoff added.
South Bend’s four seniors included Nathan Kunke, Agustin Diaz, Dakota Halverson and TJ Hodgson.
The Tribe ended the season with an overall record of 1-19; the Indians were 1-11 in the Pacific League.
