Hundreds descend on Vader for Country Cruisers Car Show

Vader’s McMurphy Park was again home to the annual Country Cruisers Car Show Saturday, with more than 130 entries representing car history and culture spanning the last 100 years.

A 1957 Packard owned by Jack DeGoede was one of the many colorful, well-buffed entries into the car show, with one visitor remarking the variety of paint schemes reminded her of a vivid box of crayons.

Musicians Randy Cloin (left), Tom McNally (center), and Joe Anderson (right) make up The Randy Band, a Shelton-based group performing old rock and roll classics as a returning act this year.

Winlock FFA members Rebecca Meyers (left), Sophie Randall (center) and Rianna Whitehead (left) were among those preparing and serving meals to car show guests as part of a fundraiser to send students to nationals.
