Fight in Aberdeen

On August 21, at 2:36 pm Aberdeen Officers were dispatched to a large fight in the 100 block of C Street. While the officers were responding the 911 dispatcher updated them that one subject was kicked in the head and appeared to be unconscious.

When officers arrived they spoke to several witnesses that described there was a fight between a 19-year old Hoquiam man and an 18-year old Aberdeen man. The 19-year old Hoquiam man had trauma to his face and head area and was transported by the Aberdeen Fire Department to the Grays Harbor Community Hospital. As a result of his injuries he was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The 18-year old Aberdeen man was arrested for investigation of First Degree Assault and booked into the Aberdeen City Jail.

Officers were advised that several people had gathered to watch the fight and had been using their phones to record the fight. If you have a recording of the fight or have information regarding the fight you are asked to call the Aberdeen Police Department tip line at (360) 538-4450 and leave a message.
