The award recognizes that in the year of 2012, Everybody’s supermarket contributed more to the WHMA food bank than any other business or individual. The contributions were varied and essential to the continued success of the local food bank. From the drop-off box in the lobby to weekly food donations, Everybody’s was involved in helping feed the hungry all year. They have cash coupons in the lobby that the cashier will add to your purchase so the money will go directly to the food bank. During Christmas time, Everybody’s allowed food bank workers to solicit for cash donations to help cover the cost of the Christmas meal the WHMA food bank furnishes its clients every year.
Overall, the local community is quite generous, providing year round cash and food donations. This only shows that to receive the 2012 Donor of the Year award, Everybody’s Super Supermarket went above and beyond in their donations and assistance. The staff and management of the food bank wishes to thank once again Jake Myers and Everybody’s Market Place for their stellar support.
