Estate Sales for loved ones

We have seen many of our older families around our area pass away and then the remaining family members don't know what to do with their belongings. Many times family members take what they consider junk to the dump, but did you know you can actually sell those items. Robin Gonia and her husband Travis with RT Estate can help you turn that junk into a few bucks. Robin will come into the home and assess what you have instead of hauling it away.

We wanted to know what exactly is considered a true estate sale, Robin stated, "A true estate sale is when a person has passed away and their whole household of items is for sale. Our company also does moving sales and living estate sales. A living estate sale is when the client may be moving far away or into assisted living and is only taking personal belongings."

When you lose a family member, chances are you will be left with their belongings, Robin continued, "It's a very difficult time when a family member passes on. There are so many things to take care of and do to close one's estate out and deciding what to do with that family member's belongings is one of them. It is to the families advantage to hire an estate sale professional to do a sale for them because it allows them the added time they need to do the many other things that are involved in closing an estate out." Robin will come in and do all of the work for you.

Going through a loved one's possessions is no easy task, it is usually a very emotional time. Gonia continued, "Most of the time, selling a loved one's possessions can be emotionally difficult. Robin has been involved in estate sales for many years, she continued, "I have been doing moving sales and estate sales for 20 years just helping close friends and families. I saw a need in our community to provide a service helping families with this difficult transition and decided to make a business out of it. Over the many sales we have done, we have made many new friends through doing sales. Both on the client side and customer side. It is a very rewarding service."
