Eileen (Nupp) White passed away on January 27, 2013 at the age of 89.
She was born on March 31, 1923 in Raymond, Washington, to Daniel and Charlotte (Varner) Nupp and lived there most of her life.
During World War II, while working at the Bremerton Navy Yard, Eileen met Gid White and they married in 1945. She and Gid had four young children when he was fatally injured in a mill accident in Newport, Oregon, in 1957. Eileen returned to Raymond to raise their children, including LeRoy, Jim, Ruth and Don, near relatives and friends. Eileen enjoyed working for the Pacific County Sheriff’s Department as a police dispatcher for 20 years, from 1973-1993. In 2005, Eileen moved to Stillwaters Retirement Community in Centralia, Washington, to be closer to grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed family gatherings and cherished phone calls and letters with relatives and many lifelong friends.
Eileen was the youngest of six children. Brothers and sisters preceding her were Delbert Nupp, Donald Nupp, Ruth Dixon, Ruby Raybell and Dorothy Nelson. There will be no services at her request. Memorial donations in her name can be made to the charity of your choice.
