Quinlyne Tidwell, 14, Raymond, was playing on a beach in Grayland recently when she found a wounded bird. Quinlyne and her mother, Michelle, took the bird, a Murre, to Dr. Olson's office in Raymond, who instructed them to take it to the Wildlife Rehab Center in Hoquiam. The bird died the next day, possibly from contaminated water caused from an earthquake in Japan two years ago. Look for a followup story in an upcoming Herald.
